Beyonce’s hit “Single Ladies” is probably one of if not her most famous songs of all-time.  While Beyonce had already established herself as one of the most popular acts in the entertainment industry this sing really solidified her as a force to be reckoned with and as a huge influence in the empowerment of women.    But at what point do you say you were influenced by early work and at what point are you flat out plagiarizing?

It’s never nice to rag on anyone for anything they can’t really control but in terms of Katherine Langford’s role in The Misguided, it would appear that her fame from 13 Reasons Why is the only real reason why she’s here. That’s how little screen time she seems to have in the movie despite the fact that she’s one of the more known faces in the film. This audition tape seems to indicate that she’s going to have a bigger role but the fact of the matter is that she is there, but she’s nowhere near as prominent in this role as she could be.

If this isn’t just ominous-sounding in an extreme way then it might be that you’re simply used to powerful melodies that are designed to instill a sense of menace and danger. But overall it’s a nice effect since the Imperial March and the theme to The Batman do kind of mesh nicely together and come together to form a very powerful sound. This and the graphic above do bring to mind an online battle between the dark knight and the dark lord of the Sith, and as anyone can imagine, things didn’t turn out all that well for the dark knight since, despite the planning and preparation that went into saving Superman, who had somehow been captured by the Empire, Darth Vader was triumphant.

The Late show saw Robert De Niro as a guest last night and Stephen Colbert tried to find him the perfect gift in NYC.  Jake Tapper was on to talk about how unlikable his job is.    Ezra Edelman talked about how his mom made him watch a Broadway show, and Jon Baptiste shared great moments in black history.    While the show was filled with entertainment, as usual, politics overshadowed everything else.

This trailer is the result of at least 17 years of production. Perhaps pre-production or re-production are better ways to describe it. It is a 21st century version of the story of Don Quixote, the 17th century novel character who was determined to bring back chivalry and justice to the world. In this Terry Gilliam version, Don Quixote is a delusional old man who actually believes he is the 17th century legend, and goes on the same journey.
