Frank Beamer left his mark on the Virginia Tech campus, and the Hokies are doing their best to make sure his name is not forgotten any time soon. On Tuesday, Virginia gave the now-departed Beamer another accolade by naming the locker room in his honor.

Beamer is the defining character at Virginia Tech, so it makes sense for him to be honored in such a way. In 29 years at the school, Beamer had a record of 238-121-2 in his time at the school, winning multiple conference championships along the way. Beamer never got the elusive national title for the Hokies, but his teams were often in contention, and played a style of football on defense and special teams that was immediately recognizable.
