
Former Florida defensive back Vernell Brown announced that he would be re-joining the Gators after graduating over a decade ago.

Brown's last year on campus was in 2005 when Urban Meyer and Dan Mullen became coaches at Florida. Brown was named a captain by Meyer, not because he was one of the best players on the team, but because he was one of the best leaders on the team.
Mullen is surely hoping that he can bring that leadership with him into his new role as Director of Player Development. It's the position that Drew Hughes left for at Tennessee.
