Four-star defensive tackle Davin Cotton (6-foot-1, 262 pounds, Shreveport, La.) is the No. 10 rated player at his position according to 247Sports, and on Saturday he gave LSU a big boost by announcing his commitment to the Tigers.

Cotton also had offers from Tennessee and Tulane, among others.
With Cotton on board, LSU has continued on its big climb to the top of the 2018 recruiting rankings. The Tigers currently rank third in the nation per 247Sports, ranking in only behind Penn State and Florida State. It may be early in the 2018 class with Signing Day still a year away, but LSU is off to a great start in their first full recruiting cycle under Ed Orgeron.
