Robinson joined the Tigers' staff last offseason after previously working at USC, where he was named the 2016 Pac-12 Recruiter of the Year and had worked with LSU head coach Ed Orgeron during his first stint with the Trojans.
LSU ranked fifth among SEC teams with 207.6 rushing yards per game and a 5.16 yards per carry average during the assistant's lone season in Baton Rogue.
Robinson also worked as a running backs coach at Texas (2014-15), the Arizona Cardinals (2010-12), Miami (2007-09), Memphis (2006), Oregon State (2001) and UNLV (1998), as well as a tight ends coach at Georgia Tech (2002-05).
LSU is already facing several offensive changes this offseason, including replacing coordinator Matt Canada, starting quarterback Danny Etling and running backs Derrius Guice and Darrel Williams.
