Former Chip Kelly assistant Thomas Arends is leaving the Big 12 for the Pac-12.
According to Chris Vannini of The Athletic, Oregon has hired Arends to become their new director of player personnel. Arends was previously the associate director of player personnel at Baylor.
This will be Arends' second stint in Eugene. Prior to working at Baylor, Arends worked at Oregon from 2009-2016. His role in his first stint at Oregon was director of recruiting operations and high school relations.
Arends is heavily connected to the program as he graduated from there and has ties to the recruiting scene as well.
