The Ohio State-Michigan rivalry never sleeps and this prank is an example

For the Michigan Wolverines, thelast week in October has been focused on a match-up with in-state rival Michigan State. However, the biggest rivalry for the maize and blue will always be Ohio State and another reminder of that undeniable reality surfaced earlier this week.

For the Michigan Wolverines, the last week in October has been focused on a match-up with in-state rival Michigan State. However, the biggest rivalry for the maize and blue will always be Ohio State and another reminder of that undeniable reality surfaced earlier this week.

The wife of Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer, Shelley, took to Twitter on Friday afternoon and she posted a picture of a symbol that would upset any Ohio State supporter.

A Michigan flag.

Found in my yard-NOT funny, whoever you are that trespassed. 😡 Plus, it's a violation of the "lawn ornament code". #muirfieldrules 😂 pic.twitter.com/bnl7uoRUIS

Depositing a small maize and blue flag in Urban Meyer's front lawn is undeniably hilarious and Michigan fans are likely quite proud of the effort. However, it does speak to the magnitude of the rivalry that, just hours before Michigan takes on Michigan State in a game that is wildly significant for Jim Harbaugh and company, the vitriol and attention is largely focused on Columbus.

The Nov. 29 match-up between the Wolverines and the Buckeyes lost a touch of luster when Ohio State went down a week ago in Happy Valley, but it looks as if no one told the fans of both programs. National Championship implications will be at stake in the 2016 edition of "The Game" and everyone remains focused on kick-off in the Horseshoe.
