We've all seen cool hockey masks, they're everywhere. Goalies love to use designs on their masks to show off a bit of who they are, one semblance of individuality among the uniformity of the team. Ben Bishop's mask may be one of the coolest out there. The Tampa Bay Lightning goalie wanted a mask with lightning on it, but not just airbrushed lightning, he wanted real luminescent bolts.
Well designer Dave Gunarsson of DAVEART answered the call and boy did he deliver.
With the help of DAVEART G.L.O.W. Tech FX, a special paint that glows, Bishop's mask will actually glow in the dark. It looks like something straight of the movie TRON.
Said Gunarsson of the mask,
"That is what we call a true Tampa Bay Lightning mask. The design is created to be an adventure both in light as in dark."
So keep on eye out for Bishop during the player intros when it's dark on the ice, because now you'll be able to see him.
