It's always a huge deal when a school can land a commitment from a recruit who's got NFL bloodlines. That's the case for Taylor Upshaw who just committed to Florida:

Taylor is the son of Regan Upshaw who played eight years in the NFL from 1996 to 2004 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Oakland Raiders, New York Giants, Washington Redskins and Jacksonville Jaguars. Now his son will be playing for the home state Gators —- he's from Bradenton, Fla.
The younger Upshaw is rated as a three-star recruit in the 247Sports Composite Rankings and is the No. 25 strong side defensive end in the class of 2018 according to those rankings. The 6'5", 240-pound defensive end certainly has the body to play on the line and with the help of some good coaching, could be a huge player for them down the road.
