A new team has moved into the Top 5 of recruiting after landing 4-star ATH Tre'Shaun Harrison

The 2018 National Signing Day is over seven months away, but the top 10 in the 247Sports recruiting rankings are filled with the usual suspects. Ohio State, LSU, Penn State, Oklahoma, Texas, Clemson and Florida State are all in the top 10 as of now, but a surprising team has moved into the top 5

The 2018 National Signing Day is over seven months away, but the top 10 in the 247Sports recruiting rankings are filled with the usual suspects.

Ohio State, LSU, Penn State, Oklahoma, Texas, Clemson and Florida State are all in the top 10 as of now, but a surprising team has moved into the top 5 recently.

New Oregon coach Willie Taggart has had plenty of success on the recruiting trail, and the Ducks recently earned the commitment of four-star athlete Tre'Shaun Harrison. Harrison's commitment moved the Ducks to No. 5 in the 247Sports rankings, where they sit behind Ohio State, Miami, Penn State, and LSU.

The 6'2, 190 pound prospect is from Seattle, and he is Taggart's 15th commitment for the Class of 2018.

The Ducks are now No. 1 in the Pac 12 in recruiting, and Taggart has the team moving in the right direction after last year's abysmal 4-8 campaign. Oregon won't be expected to be a contender for the Pac 12 title next season, but Taggart could have the Ducks in position to compete for the conference title in 2018.

Victories on the recruiting trail don't always translate to victories on the field immediately, but Taggart has Oregon in position to possibly return to the nation's elite within a few seasons.
