The Rio de Janeiro Olympic and Paralympic Games were less than six months ago, but the facilities at Olympic Park are already beginning to rot.

According to Globo, several of the facilities have been abandoned, and there have been no signs of maintenance for months.
The Olympic Park cost the country of Brazil $2.5 billion, and it was expected to last and be used for sporting events in the future for various sporting events. Several buildings have already deteriorated and the swimming pool looks unusable.

Athens, Beijing and Sochi all experienced similar issues in the months following the Olympics. Brazil hosted the World Cup and Olympics back-to-back, and both negatively affected crime and the economy in the area.
