Despite his ongoing defamation lawsuit against Ole Miss, former coach Houston Nutt didn't celebrate his successor Hugh Freeze's resignation.
"I wasn't jumping for joy," Nutt told Sirius XM College radio. "I don't like to see anyone going down."

Last month, Nutt filed a defamation lawsuit against the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation, claiming that Freeze made phone calls to journalists to specifically place blame on Nutt for the allegations facing the Rebels program.
According to the lawsuit, Freeze communicated "off the record" with several reporters who were covering the team leading up to National Signing Day in 2016.
Nutt's lawsuit was filed on July 12, which was just one day prior to Freeze and Ole Miss' appearance at SEC Media Days.
