From the moment Michigan announced an exclusive partnership with Jordan Brand, the Wolverines have been thrust into the national consciousness at an even higher level. It helps to have Jim Harbaugh generating news on seemingly a daily basis, but recruits have taken notice and Michigan's gear has turned heads across the country.
Over the weekend, the Wolverines made news yet again, as Michigan assistant Jay Harbaugh (who is the brother of Jim Harbaugh) released the following images on Twitter:

Unfortunately for Michigan fans and general shoe addicts everywhere, these shoes won't be available publicly. They are samples only that will be available to Michigan personnel for marketing purposes.
Still, this does nothing but produce positive vibes for the program itself, as every shoe connoisseur fawned over the release of throwback Jordan products in trademark maize and blue. It remains to be seen if Michigan's partnership will influence Jordan Brand in actually releasing more Wolverine-themed apparel to the public, but fans in Ann Arbor and across the country can dream.
Until then, Jim Harbaugh and his staff will be "forced" to simply use the partnership in recruiting pitches and that, combined with the already apparent appeal of Ann Arbor, should be fruitful in the future.
