Michael Thompson Jr., a four-star defensive tackle prospect, has announced that his final two schools left in his recruiting process are the Missouri Tigers and Oklahoma Sooners. He made the announcement as do all the cool kids, by way of the mean streets of Twitter.

Thompson is the No. 4 defensive tackle recruit in the 2018 class and the No. 2 player from the state of Missouri, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
For what it is worth, prior to this announcement, Alabama, LSU, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio State were on his previous list — the final five, if you will. You will notice Oklahoma was not on that list, making the emergence of the Sooners pretty interesting.
This is likely due to an official visit the prospect had in Oklahoma last weekend.

Thompson is expected sign with his school of choice on National Signing Day on Feb. 7. That can obviously change, as young people do tend to have a change of heart here and there, but that's the tentative date to know the landing spot of the big guy.
