Michael Jordan finally responded to LaVar Ball's months of trash talk during a Q&A session at his Michael Jordan Flight School this week.
"You've got to understand the source. He played, I think ... college maybe?" Jordan said. "He averaged, what, 2.2 points a game? For real? I doesn't dignify an answer, but I'll give you one, because you asked a question, I don't think he could beat me if I was one-legged."
Jordan also gave some advice for Ball in regards to managing his son, who has already been dubbed by Lakers president Magic Johnson as the "future" of the franchise.
"I would say if I had to sit down and talk to him right now, if he was here, I'd tell him to shut up, and let the kid play"

Jordan did credit Lonzo Ball as a "good" player, which perhaps is getting lost in the drama created by his father. However, there's no denying that the Ball patriarch has created a media buzz around his family, which has already added to the rookie point guard's star power.
Ball, the father of Los Angeles Lakers rookie point guard Lonzo Ball, as well as UCLA freshman LiAngelo Ball and 2019 commit LaMelo Ball, has made a name for himself with his brash, outlandish persona, which has included soundbites claiming he could beat Jordan, arguably basketball's greatest player, in a game of 1-on-1.
