Bill Belichick has never been afraid of trading high profile players, but his latest maneuver shocked several current New England Patriots players.

The Patriots traded linebacker Jamie Collins to the Cleveland Browns for a third-round compensatory pick, and safety Devin McCourty told CSNNE he felt Collins was their best defensive player.
"Jamie is arguably our best defensive player," McCourty said. ""When you get a guy like Jamie who was here for four years on the team, a very productive player, to lose him is a bit shocking to everybody on the team."

Belichick was reportedly displeased with Collins' lack of effort.
