Lions get screwed over on defensive pass interference call against Cowboys

I personally have never seen the referees pick up the flag like they did against the Cowboys midway through the fourth quarter. On the play, Anthony Hitchens had his back toward Matt Stafford and faceguarded Brandon Pettigrew. The refs had announced the pass interference call, but took it back after the Cowboys argued about it.

It was clearly pass interference. Hitchens didn't play the ball and the rule states that you need to. In college, this play wouldn't have been called a pass interference. But the refs picked up the flag and waived it off.

Almost everyone agreed it was pass interference. The Lions totally got screwed.

Dallas ended up winning the game 24-20, and Lions fans are left wondering what if?
