College football player killed, another injured in horrifying car wreck

A college football player died and another player was injured in a horrific accident in Tucson, Arizona. Arizona wide receiver Donovan Moore was hospitalized after suffering serious injuries in a crash near Pima Community College West Campus, according to the Tucson Police Department.

Arizona wide receiver Donovan Moore was hospitalized after suffering serious injuries in a crash near Pima Community College West Campus, according to the Tucson Police Department.

Moore was the passenger. Driver and Pima CC fullback Jordan Waddell was pronounced dead at the scene. According to police, Waddell was driving a black 2017 Infiniti SUV, and he ran a red light and crashed into a blue 2005 Nissan Altima at an intersection.

The driver of the Altima was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Moore played at Pima CC for two seasons before transferring to Arizona. He's a redshirt junior, and he has played sparingly for the Wildcats.

Police are still investigating the crash to determine if there were other factors involved.
