Sunday night at Slammiversary, Impact Wrestling's biggest PPV of the year, James Storm took on Ethan Carter 3 in a brutal match that ended in controversial, devastating fashion.
Global Force Wrestling is reporting that Storm suffered a Grade 3 concussion in the match, which is the highest-grade possible for the scary head injury.

Still, coming from the company itself, it's unclear as to whether or not this is to further the angle between EC3 and Storm, or the company is getting out in front of the injury.
The finish of their match seems to indicate it may very well be legit, as SB Nation's Cageside Seats explains:
"After James Storm was pulled head first into the ring post, he returned to the ring to fire up on EC3. He hit his finisher, the Last Call Superkick and then geared up to go for another. However, he then just slowly fell to the mat. The referee implored Ethan Carter to cover Storm, but EC3 decided to deliver one more move, an Angel's Wings, before covering him."
Either way, we hope Storm gets well soon and that he didn't ultimately suffer such a dangerous injury in the match.
