Four-star linebacker Jake Venables is exactly the kid you think he is, the son of Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables. So it shouldn't surprise you when he makes this commitment:

The 6'1", 210-pound linebacker is the No. 32 outside linebacker in the class of 2018 with time to improve on that ranking. He is the No. 9 recruit in the state of South Carolina and had offers from SMU and Texas Tech.
