A former four-star talent coming out of high school, the Pittsburgh gunslinger was never really an important part of the Florida State offense.

The 13th ranked pro-style signal-caller in the country for his recruiting class, Cosentino actually redshirted when he arrived on campus. Following that, he appeared in a whopping three games in 2015, and managed to lumber on the gridiron for only two more in 2016.

In 2017, he did play in seven games. However, his numbers don't exactly scream greatness, as he only hurled 11 pass attempts. In total, over the course of his Florida State career, he chucked it around collegiate blades of grass a grand total of 30 times.

Wherever he ends up, he should be immediately eligible as he has graduated from Florida State and has one year of eligibility remaining.

It is worth noting that National Signing Day is right around the corner. While the loss of a former-four star QB might seem like a downer, it could make it easier for the coaching staff to pitch other QB prospects coming to the school, especially with there now being even less competition.

The program hired Willie Taggart as its new head coach to replace Jimbo Fisher.

Taggart is 47-50 in his career with stops at Western Kentucky, South Florida, and Oregon. Taggart notably turned Western Kentucky and South Florida into winning programs after 2-10 starts in his first season at each school.
