Often times when college football players transfer it is to get more playing time elsewhere or get away from coaches they turn out not to like. That's not the case for redshirt freshmen defensive end Isaiah Chambers who will be transferring out of TCU despite not getting to play a down of football for the Horned Frogs.
He took to Twitter to explain his decision and it's quite touching:
🚨 This is the best decision for me and my family , God bless pic.twitter.com/9YLaC6Op1P

Chambers is going to find a school closer to home so he can take care of his aunt who pretty much raised him. He is originally a four-star recruit out of Houston so the Cougars have to be a real possibility to bring him in and keep him close to his aunt.
The 6'4", 258-pound DE also had offers from Texas, Miami, Arkansas, Baylor and Florida State among others coming out of high school. He will likely have to sit a year before he can play unless the NCAA grants him a hardship waiver for his circumstances.
