Well, we all want great matchups in college football, and it looks like the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game is more than happy to give us yet another one.
It was announced on Thursday morning that current No. 5 Washington and No. 9 Auburn would be facing off for the 2018 edition of the game.
Current #5 @UW_Football & #9 @FootballAU are set to meet in Atlanta for #CFAKickoff 2018. #PurpleReign #WarEagle

This will be the first ever meeting between the two teams.
This will be the third time that Auburn has played in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game, having played in the 2012 and 2015 editions against Clemson and Louisville, respectively. It will be Washington's first trip to the Georgia Dome for the opening weekend contest.
It will be interesting to see if the Peach Bowl authority decided to add another kickoff game in 2018, as they have two scheduled for next season. Alabama and Florida State will play on a Saturday, while Tennessee and Georgia Tech will take the Monday game. If the folks in Atlanta are hoping to follow that up, Auburn vs. Washington is a good place to start.
