The 6'3, 200-pound quarterback Jack Sears was committed to Duke since August, but he made a swift decision Sunday to decommit from the Blue Devils only to immediately land at USC, per 247sports.
"I have the utmost respect and admiration for coach Cutcliffe, the entire coaching staff and Duke University," Sears told 247Sports. "I wish them nothing but success in the future. I am now a USC Trojan and look forward to starting classes in January."
Sears turned down offers from Florida State, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Washington.
Sears is the No. 5 pro style quarterback in the country. He pairs a big arm with 4.6 40-yard dash speed and should be a dynamic option for the Trojans.
