Four-star outside linebacker Shayne Simon was down to five schools in his recruitment including Michigan, Ohio State, UCLA, Notre Dame and Penn State. He's officially made his commitment and has verbally given his pledge to the Fighting Irish.

The 6'3", 215-pound OLB hails from New Jersey and is the No. 3 player in the state as well as the No. 6 player at his position for the class of 2018 according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He also holds offers from Nebraska, Maryland, N.C. State, Tennessee, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
