Four-star FSU commit has shockingly flipped to another powerhouse

Well, this will definitely be quite the conversation for some Florida State fans at the start of next season. On Thursday, four-star safety and Florida State commit Daniel Wright (6-foot-1, 187 pounds, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.) surprisingly decommitted from the Seminoles in order to flip his commitment to Alabama.

Wright's decommit is a bit of a blow to Florida State, as they now only have 13 commits for the 2017 class. However, it's not always about quantity; the Seminoles are still ranked 13th in the nation according to 247Sports recruiting rankings.

Alabama, meanwhile, has 24 commits now for their 2017 class. They are ranked No. 1 across all recruiting rankings.

If Wright sticks with his commitment, he will have an interesting day to open next season when Florida State and Alabama play in the Chick-fil-a Kickoff Classic.
