Eight-year NFL veteran and member of the defending champion New England Patriots Sebastian Vollmer is reportedly retiring, per ESPN.
Vollmer is a former two-time Super Bowl champion and career-long member of the Patriots. The 32-year-old offensive tackle was drafted in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft.
According to the report, Vollmer has lost 75 pounds after he was released, down from his over 300-pound frame.
Vollmer was released from the Patriots this year after he missed all of 2016 with a hip injury.
He helped win Super Bowl XLIX and Super Bowl LI for the Patriots.
Vollmer is apparently working his way into the broadcast booth as a newly-retired NFL player.
