Five-star recruit Jordan Anthony (6-foot-0, 220 pounds, Bradenton, Fla.) is rated as the No. 1 inside linebacker in the nation per Rivals, and the five-star had his recruitment down to five teams: Oklahoma, Michigan, Auburn, Penn State, and Maryland.
On Thursday, Anthony picked Michigan.
"I am excited to take my next step as a player and student at the University of Michigan," Anthony said in a letter on Campus Insiders. "The first time I visited campus, I was amazed. I got chills walking onto the field at The Big House."
This is another huge pick up for head coach Jim Harbaugh in recruiting, and while IMG Academy isn't your traditional "out-of-state" pull, it is still impressive that Harbaugh is having so much success recruiting outside the state of Michigan right now.
Michigan now has 25 commitments in their 2017 recruiting class, with Anthony obviously being one of their top pledges. According to 247Sports, Michigan's class currently ranks No. 4 in the nation behind only Alabama, Ohio State, and Georgia.
