After layoffs devastated ESPN's college football staff this spring, the company has now made several changes to their programming official ahead of start of the 2017 season.
One of the major changes will be Jesse Palmer taking Danny Kanell's spot in the ESPN studio on Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays. Palmer had previously been calling mostly SEC games for ESPN, but it appears he will be only an analyst in studio going forward.

Palmer will be joined in studio by Joey Galloway and Adnan Virk.
Other changes include Sportscenter anchor Kevin Negandhi taking over the studio role that had been occupied by John Saunders for several seasons until Saunders passed away last year. ESPN also officially announced the additions of former head coach Chip Kelly and former LSU defensive tackle Booger McFarland to their broadcast teams. McFarland, who had been on the SEC Network, will be taking over the role vacated by the laid off Mark May.
