
Former Alabama Crimson Tide linebacker Eryk Anders is making the jump from the gridiron to the octagon.
Anders, who won a National Championship with Alabama in '09, revealed the news that he was UFC-bound in an Instagram post.
View this post on InstagramIn the post, Anders reveals that he's fighting in UFC, but that his first fight is July 22, just a few weeks away in Long Island, NY.
Anders has been working in MMA since his football career came to a close, recently competing in Legacy Fighting Alliance where he was the Middleweight champion.
Anders is 8-0 in his young MMA career, while his opponent, Rafael Natal is 21-8-1 in his career.
