Colin Cowherd is certainly not shy when it comes to voicing his opinions, especially when he gets a "win" over his former employer in ESPN. Rather than taking to Twitter or even releasing a statement, he decided to use his own show as a platform to show just how well he's doing without "The Worldwide Leader."
Here's his quote in its entirety:
"FS1 has now beat ESPN2 in back-to-back months for the first time ever. Three of the last six months, FS1, without a morning show until September, has beat ESPN2. Three of the last six months. We are shy of four years old, and we are up nearly 70 percent. No other sports network can say that. I am tremendously proud."

Awful Announcing notes that FS1 was down 31.4 percent in primetime and 14.6 percent in total day year over year for the second quarter, but that ESPN2 fell 17.3 percent in prime time and 30.9 percent in total day during that span as well. While it's not exactly anything to brag about, it is better than they were doing. There was a time when FS1 was trying to beat out NBCSN for third place so they've certainly made progress.
Cowherd also noted that he's going to get a nice lead in in the morning as well over Labor Day weekend as Nick Wright and Cris Carter will have their show start airing then. Having the morning lead in could prove to be crucial as Cowherd has essentially generated viewers without any help that a lot of other shows get from morning lead-ins.
