Alabama may not be the only Playoff team on the verge of losing a major coordinator.
According to Clay Hall of ABC-6 out of Columbus, Ohio State co-defensive coordinator Luke Fickell is "in the mix" for the head job at Cincinnati, with Fickell expressing interest to be a head coach again.

Fickell was previously the interim head coach for Ohio State in the 2011 season after Jim Tressel's departure following NCAA violations. Fickell is a former Ohio State linebacker and he has been with the school as a coach for 14 years. However, with Urban Meyer instilled as the Buckeyes' head coach, Fickell will have to go elsewhere if he wants to be a head coach.
Cincinnati parted ways with Tommy Tuberville after a disappointing 4-8 season in his fourth year. The Bearcats may now be scrambling to find a new head coach, as potential candidates Jeff Brohm and Matt Rhule have already taken new jobs at Purdue and Baylor, respectively. Western Michigan coach P.J. Fleck has also reportedly turned down the position.
Ohio State's other defensive coordinator, Greg Schiano, is also reportedly a major candidate for the South Florida head coaching job.
