Former Atlanta Braves third baseman Chipper Jones probably should have his Twitter taken away after this awfully insensitive tweet regarding the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting back in 2012. Twenty children and six adults lost their lives that frightening day.
But according to Jones, the FBI came out and said that the shooting was a hoax, which is obviously the furthest thing from the truth.
You have to be really stupid to tweet something like this. Thankfully, Jones caught wind of his terrible mistake and apologized for his actions.
My apologies for my Sandy Hook tweet yest. I had heard something from someone which I thought to be credible and tweeted w/out researching.

It was irresponsible of me to do that and will not happen again. Please accept my heartfelt apology to those who were hurt or offended.

Let's hope that Jones thinks before he hits send in the future.
