Channing Tindall is in high demand as one of the best prospects in the country but the No. 1 outside linebacker in the Class of 2018 is no longer in a rush to make a commitment. 247Sports ranks him in that lofty position but the 6'2, 205-pound linebacker from Columbia (S.C.) has changed his plans when it comes to making recruiting visits in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma and much of the recruiting world is taking notice.

Woody Wommack of Rivals brings word from Tindall about his new plans.

"When the hurricane first game I was thinking about taking my first official to Florida for the game against Tennessee. But human life is bigger than football to me so I was thinking about humanity and it didn't seem like the right thing to do. Now during the hurricane I had some time to think and I was thinking, why am I just taking two of my official visits? I should take all five of them. So after talking to my family I'm going to take all of my officials and that's going to push back my commitment date. I'm going to start taking my officials in November and make a decision in December."

The report indicates that Tindall will be visiting Georgia, Florida, Florida State, South Carolina and Auburn along the way and both the Bulldogs and Gators will apparently receive unofficial visits on top of the officials. Given the timeline stated by the senior linebacker, this still isn't a ton of time to make a choice but Tindall's every move will be scrutinized between now and his announcement in December.
