The Philadelphia Eagles have arranged for Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre to speak to the team on Saturday.

Normally, this would make total sense. Eagles head coach Doug Pederson was Favre's backup for about a decade in Green Bay, and there's obviously a relationship between the two. Furthermore, having a legendary gunslinger come give your franchise a pep-talk the day before the Super Bowl doesn't seem like an awful idea.
However, the timing of this is less than ideal.
Favre is named in a lawsuit from Callais Capital Management and, within the documents, he is alleged to have misrepresented a company that CCM invested in. The lawsuit is reportedly for more than $16 million and, in addition to Favre, executives from Sqor Sports, spotlighted as a social network with an athletic focus, are also named as part of the proceedings.
Favre and Sqor Sports are alleged to have "materially misrepresented" the level of scope and sophistication of their platform.
Do the players on the Eagles care about any of this? Probably not, but in the social media world of 2018, other people probably will. Not to mention that, with radio row now dominating Minnesota, Pederson might have accidentally brought some extra questions to be asked and answered by those within the organization.
It is worth noting that it is as likely few will blink an eye at any of this, as Favre tends to get a relatively large pass from most mainstream outlets.
