This is a major blow to Tennessee.
Earlier this month, four-star defensive back Brendon Harris (6-foot-1, 205 pounds, Chattanooga, TN) announced that he had decommitted from Tennessee, ending what had been a five-month long pledge. On Tuesday night, Harris had apparently made a new decision, quietly updating his social media to reflect a commitment to Vanderbilt.
Harris had decommitted after Tennessee got blown out 41-0 by Georgia, and now it looks like that loss has compounded into losing a commitment to Vanderbilt.
Venderbilt head coach Derek Mason has been hard at work this recruiting cycle. Vanderbilt now has 15 commitments for the 2018 class, and they currently are ranked 28th in the nation over at 247Sports. Harris is now their second highest-rated commitment of the 2018 class.
