While national anthem protests have taken over mainstream media and talk radio this season, Thursday night was about honoring first responders and those who were victims of the tragic New York terror attack.
Here's what Buffalo Bills and New York Jets players did during the moment of silence and during the national anthem.

The Jets stood, with arms locked, while the Bills also stood with a hand over their hearts.
The Bills came into Thursday's game at 5-2, just a half game behind the New England Patriots for first place in the AFC East. The Jets sat at 3-5 heading into the tilt.
Police found a note near the truck of Sayfullo Saipov after he killed eight during a terror attack in New York.
Authorities said that the 29-year-old Uzbek national claimed the attack in the name of ISIS in a handwritten note, which was written in English. Saipov also used the note to declare his allegiance to the Islamic State. Law enforcement believes Saipov was inspired by the terrorist group, not directly ordered to carry out the attack.
