Bennie Fowler III isn't a huge name in the NFL world but the 26-year-old wide receiver from Michigan State burst on to the scene with two touchdown catches in Week 1. However, a much more unfortunate scene took place for the Denver Broncos pass-catcher in the team's second game, as Fowler III attempted to make a touchdown catch and came down hard on his head.
From there, video shows Fowler III stumbling around without any sort of direction as he attempts to leave the field.

From that point forward, the Broncos were swift to announce that Fowler III would not be reentering the contest and the team indicated that he suffered a concussion. Still, that does not stop the disturbing nature of seeing a finely tuned professional athlete unable to control his body enough to even leave the field of play.
This will certainly be cited by those with anti-football opinions in the future but, beyond that, the football world hopes and prays that Fowler III will fully recover in the future.
