Banjo Cover for Castlevania’s 1986 Video Game Theme? Yes, Please

Know what’s amazing about the NES back in the 80s?  If you were a player of that system and I asked you to name every game you ever owned, you could do it.  If I were to ask you to hum the theme song to Mike Tyson’s Punch Out, you could do it.  If I asked you to spit out the secret code that gets you unlimited lives in Contra, remember?  Up down up down……I don’t even need to go over the rest.

NES has a special place in my heart so whenever I get to hear or see something that reminds me of that youth, it’s awesome.  I’ve heard a million renditions of the Super Mario Brothers theme.  I’ve heard the Zelda theme played on instruments I can’t even pronounce.  However, I think it’s safe to say that I’ve never heard the 1986 Castlevania Vampire Killer theme played on a banjo before.

And boy do I have to say it’s awesome.  I really hope this guy continues back on the banjo track and keeps coming up with these beauties.
