Al Blades is a name that some Miami fans will likely remember as he was selected to the All-Big East first team in 2000 and played for the San Francisco 49ers shortly after. Unfortunately, his life was cut short in a car accident, but his legacy lives on in his son Al Blades Jr. And now junior is headed to a place that would make his dad proud:

Blades is a four-star cornerback out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. playing for high school powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas. He's ranked as the No. 12 cornerback in the class of 2018 and the No. 16 recruit in the state of Florida according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

The 6'0", 170-pound CB has 30 offers including some from Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, LSU and Michigan among others.
