According to FOX Sports, WWE is set to announce that former longtime manager Teddy Long is set to be a part of the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame class.
Long worked in wrestling for 30 years, starting off in Jim Crockett Promotions, which would later become WCW. While there, Long was the manager of the heel tag team faction "Doom" with Ron Simmons and Butch Reed, and he was later the manager for "Mean" Mark Callous, who would later become the Undertaker in WWE.

Long would later join WWE, where he was most notably the general manager of SmackDown for several years between 2004 and 2014. Long was particularly well known on the show for coming out in the middle of feuds and creating tag-team matches for later in the show, leading to the creating of things like this.
Long was later released from the company, but he has been brought back a couple of times for guest appearances.
Long will join Kurt Angle so far as the inductees for WWE's 2017 Hall of Fame class.
