Tennessee has a kicker for the next two years in Aaron Medley, but it never hurts to recruit his replacement a year before you need him. That's what Tennessee is thinking by extending an offer to 5"10, 165-pound kicker Brandon Ruiz. Ruiz is from Gilbert, Arizona so he's been getting a few Pac-12 offers after schools got a hold of this tweet:

Tennessee saw this video and wanted to bring the young man to campus to get a better feel for him. It looks like Ruiz had a pretty good time.

That became his first scholarship from an SEC school even though he's rated as the No. 2 kicker in the class of 2017. When he gets on campus Medley will be a senior so it would be a perfect opportunity for a redshirt and then give him a full four years to make a name for himself in the SEC, hopefully as one of its premier kickers.
