Someone might want to look into the structural integrity of Notre Dame's helmets.

For the second time this season, a Notre Dame player has had his helmet throw up a handful of gold chips after a big helmet-to-helmet hit.

The victim this time was running back Deon McIntosh, who collided with a Wake Forest defender to cause the explosion of gold paint. This isn't the first time this has happened this year, either, as running back Tony Jones Jr. had to exit a game earlier this year against Miami (OH) after a similar hit caused gold paint chips to explode all over the field.

McIntosh appeared to be okay after this helmet-to-helmet hit against Wake Forest.

Notre Dame, ranked No. 3 in the College Football Playoff rankings, moved to 8-1 on the season with a 48-37 win over the Demon Deacons.
