This was less a hit and more the defender consuming a quarterback's soul.

Nebraska quarterback Tanner Lee was already having a really bad day thanks to a couple of picks, and things somehow got worse when he got demolished by Northern Illinois' Sutton Smith. Lee will be feeling that hit for a while.
The good news for Nebraska is that the play was ONLY a sack. Upon review, the ruled fumble was overturned and Nebraska was given the ball back... so they could punt back to NIU.
To make things worse, Nebraska lost 21-17.
