MLB umpire crumpled to the ground after getting hit in the head with a bat

In the first inning of Monday's Boston Red Sox-Toronto Blue Jays contest, Josh Donaldson's big swing ended with him losing control of the bat and releasing it into the back of umpire Chris Segal's head:

Segal was thankfully able to get up and continue to call the game despite the vicious injury. Donaldson struck out on a foul tip.

The Blue Jays went on to score twice in the top of the first.
