Trevion Williams is a four-star center in the class of 2018 and had been heavily pursued by his home state Michigan State Spartans. In fact, he took two unofficial visits and had been visited by a coach three times. However, the Detroit native surprised everyone and committed to another Big Ten school on the rise:

The 6'8", 250-pound center chose Purdue over offers from not only Michigan State, but DePaul, Xavier and Illinois, among others. Williams is rated as the No.6 player in the state of Michigan and No. 29 player at his position in the class according to ESPN.
