Tim Tebow is actually enjoying reasonable success as a minor league baseball player, especially considering his age and the fact that he hasn't played the sport competitively in so long. However, that does not mean that Tebow is without blemish on the diamond and a story from the New York Post recently highlighted that.
In short, a 45-year-old man from New Jersey named Doug Brustman was attending Tebow's game on Tuesday against the Lakewood Blue Claws. Prior to the beginning of the game, Brustman was struck by an errant throw in an unfortunate area... from the arm of Tebow.
"They were warming up and throwing in front us, and I wasn't paying attention.
"I hear this guy behind me yell, 'Watch out' and as he's yelling, the ball comes right through the railing and hits me right in the nuts. It was a direct hit."
"It was literally like a Seinfeld episode. The guy behind me shouts, 'It was TEBOW. It reminded me of his days with the Jets when he couldn't complete a pass. This guy is so inaccurate, even with a baseball."
The jokes write themselves with this one, as Tebow was always under scrutiny for his lack of accuracy as a football quarterback and that issue has apparently followed him to baseball. Yikes.
