The Knights from Central Florida were up 10-0 at halftime in last year's game behind the arm of future NFL first-rounder Blake Bortles and the legs of running back Storm Johnson. The latter would score the first touchdown of the game on a one yard run and Shawn Moffit would nail a chip shot for the field goal.
But the Gamecocks weren't done. They scored 28 unanswered points thanks to Mike Davis running three in and Dylan Thompson scurrying for one as well. The Knights staged a furious comeback, scored late, but couldn't recover an onside kick. South Carolina held on for a 28-25 win.
