It's interesting that the incident occurred almost a year ago — June 5 of 2016 — and the NFL is just now informing Talib and the Broncos that he won't be suspended or disciplined for an event that turned out to be Talib accidentally shooting himself.
Via the Denver Post:
"The Dallas police department's four-month investigation into the June 5 shooting of Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib is complete and it has determined that Talib shot himself, according to a WFAA television report that cited sources. The report also stated that no charges would be filed against Talib."
The Dallas police department finished their investigation in October of 2016, but the NFL hadn't officially decided what to do about the situation until this report was released on Tuesday.
Talib accumulated 32 total tackles and three interceptions for the Broncos in 2016-17.
