An announcement is expected Monday, but according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Alabama and Duke will face off in the 2019 Chick-fil-A Kickoff game on August 30.
The Crimson Tide has become a nearly yearly participant in the SEC championship game, five appearances since 2008 and they're becoming quite familiar with venturing over to Georgia. Alabama has also played in four Chick-fil-A kickoff games, registering a 4-0 record in the annual season-opener.
In the next year, Alabama could play in Atlanta three times (SEC title game against Florida on December 3, College Football Playoff semifinal on December 31 and a Chick-Fil-A Kickoff game against Florida State next season).
Alabama is looking to be the first College Football Playoff back-to-back champions.
